About two minutes. Capture is deliberately simple: you tap chains of possession, not every individual stat. A volunteer can be trained on the sideline before the first bounce.

Powercoach runs in any modern browser — there's no app to install. For game-day capture we recommend a tablet: an iPad, or a recent Android tablet (Android 13 or later) with at least 8GB of RAM. The coach dashboard works equally well on a tablet, laptop, or desktop. You can capture on a phone too, which is great for getting started; a tablet's larger screen just makes it easier.

iPadOS 16.4 or later is required. We recommend the latest iPadOS for the best experience.

Older iPads stuck on iPadOS 15 or earlier (e.g. the original iPad Air, iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2) are not supported — their browser engines don't run our modern web app reliably. Pages may load but features like live capture and stat dashboards will not work.

We recommend a recent Android tablet running Android 13 or later with at least 8GB of RAM — for example a Samsung Galaxy Tab A-series or S-series, or a Lenovo Idea Tab.

Powercoach automatically switches to a lightweight display mode on Android, so capture stays smooth even on budget tablets. For game day, a tablet with its own SIM (mobile data) gives the most reliable connection.

Open Settings → General → About → Software Version on your iPad. If it shows iPadOS 16.4 or later, you're good to go. If it shows something older and Settings won't let you update, your iPad has reached end-of-life for software updates and we recommend using a different device for capture.

Yes. Laptops and phones (iPhone or Android) are great for viewing reports and dashboards, and you can capture on a phone too. For game day we strongly recommend a tablet — an iPad or a recent Android tablet — because the larger screen and tap targets make it much easier to keep up with the play.

Powercoach needs a connection during live capture so stats, xScore, and AI insights update in real time — but it also queues events on the device and syncs them when the connection returns, so a brief drop-out won't lose anything. For the most reliable connection we recommend a tablet with its own SIM (mobile data). You can tether to a phone hotspot too — a session uses very little data — but hotspots are more prone to dropping out, so a SIM in the tablet is the smoother option.

Powercoach is priced per team, per season. Prices shown assume a 20-game season. If you sign up mid-season, we pro-rate based on your remaining games so you only pay for what you'll use.

Plans start from $499 per season. We have different tiers to suit different needs — from small junior sides to large clubs running multiple teams. Full details and current prices are on the pricing page.

Yes. Each team within your organisation can be on a different plan — your seniors might be on Performance while your juniors are on Foundation. Billing is managed centrally at the organisation level, and clubs running multiple paid teams qualify for an automatic 50% multi-team discount on additional teams.

Absolutely. You can upgrade at any time and only pay the pro-rated difference for your remaining games. Your new features are available immediately.

You keep full read-only access to all your historical games, stats, and reports. Your subscription auto-renews before the next season with a reminder email so you can update your season details.

Billing is managed at the organisation level. Your club admin adds a payment method and can purchase plans for individual teams. Each team can be on a different plan to suit their needs and budget.

No limits. Add as many coaches, support staff, and stat capturers as you need per team, and as many teams as you need per organisation.

Finals are on us. If your team makes it, we'll automatically extend your plan to cover the additional games at no extra cost — just keep capturing as normal.

We currently support Australian Rules Football, with Football (Soccer) coming soon. All plans include full support for every available sport — you don't pay extra when new sports launch.

Our AI models achieve 85–90% accuracy for pattern recognition and tactical predictions. Accuracy improves as you capture more games and the AI learns your team's style.

xScore (Expected Score) measures how well a team is converting their territory and possessions into scoring opportunities. It's based on shot location, shot type, and game context — giving coaches a clearer picture of finishing efficiency than the scoreboard alone.

No. You capture chains of possession and a few key events — Powercoach derives most stats automatically. This is the difference between a 2-minute training session and the hours of training other tools require.

Yes. Your games, stats, and AI insights are only visible to people you've invited to your organisation. We use enterprise-grade encryption for all data transmission and storage, and Powercoach does not share or sell your data. Game summary images you generate are only public if you choose to share them.

Yes. You can export game data, statistics, and reports in CSV, PDF, and JSON formats from Settings → Export Data in your dashboard.
